2022 Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation Grant Recipients

In 2022, the Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation continued to support youth organizations across thr country that help local youth flourish. This year, the Foundation presented its annual grants to five organizations:

Here’s a brief description of each organization:

The Urban Society of Aboriginal Youth (USAY), based in Calgary, collaborates with Indigenous youth to create programs that address their needs. The programs offered by the organization allows the youth to celebrate their identity and create a positive sense of self to create change in the community.

Based in Winnipeg, the Toba Centre for Children & Youth is a child advocacy centre that has plans to become a world-leading facility that would help restore the health and wellbeing of children affected by child abuse.

The AIM program was founded in 2012 in Saskatoon as a response to meet the needs of individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Modeled after the very successful PREP Program, AIM offers specialized therapy and innovative programs that support these individuals from infancy to adulthood.

Caring Hearts Counselling’s youth grief camps were first introduced in 1997 when the organization saw the challenges families and children faced when going through the grieving process. Since its start 25 years ago, the organization has developed numerous grief support and counselling programs and resources.

Motivaction Jeunesse, based out of Quebec City, started as an organization working with youth in schools in 1998, and organized activities to keep the youth active and motivated to prevent kids from dropping out of school. Since 2003, the program has grown to help immigrant youth with their integration process through outdoor activities.

More information on these organizations is available on their respective websites.

The Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation was established in 2015 to provide a mechanism for the employees of FGP to contribute to charitable activities in many communities across Canada. The Foundation’s mission is to support charities whose activities and programs benefit children.
