The Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation sends 10 children to summer camp

The Foyston, Gordon & Payne Foundation is pleased to announce that its inaugural grant will allow 10 girls to attend a one-week overnight summer camp north of Toronto in 2017.

Toronto-based StepStones for Youth provides high-level skill development support to children and youth who are economically disadvantaged and have a history of trauma and abuse. The organization operates an overnight summer camp program for girls and a co-ed mentorship and educational support program for youth transitioning out of the foster care system.

The Foundation’s $5,500 grant will cover the costs for 10 girls attending camp this coming summer. David Adkins, FGP’s Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager – Institutional Client Services, recently presented the Foundation’s cheque to Heather O’Keefe, Executive Director – StepStones for Youth.

More information about StepStones for Youth is available on its website.

The Foundation was established in 2015 to provide a mechanism for the employees of FGP to contribute to charitable activities in many communities across Canada. The Foundation’s mission is to support charities whose activities and programs benefit children.
